It is not the Dodge Challenger that has a round of upgrades for 2019.
The related Charger sedan is going to receive its own chain of upgrades for your 2019 version year, among which is going to be a new grille for high performance versions such as the SRT Hellcat.
A teaser shot published Wednesday shows a more slimmed-down design for its grille, in addition to a prominent 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat logo and an integrated ingestion.
That’s all we know right now, though reports in the last year suggest there might be weight reduction and other fuel economy improvements too.
Dodge will disclose complete details on the upgraded Charger in the summertime ahead of a probable showroom appearance in the autumn.
The 2019 upgrades into the Charger and its own Challenger cousin would be to tide things over until Dodge finally implements a full redesign for those cars. The last we found is that the redesigns are not due until 2021. The wait will be worth it though as we hear that the delay–they were considering today–is due to a switch to the platform found in the Maserati Ghibli.
